The problem

What an Unacceptable Business Practices suspension is costing you

A suspended account doesn’t pause quietly. From the moment the suspension lands, your ads are prohibited from serving and showing ads in all locations (opens in a new tab), and every day it stays that way costs you.

Leads and sales stop

The enquiries and orders your ads brought in dry up the same day, and so does the revenue that came with them.

Competitors take your space

Your competitors keep bidding on the searches you used to win, and the leads and sales that were yours go to them.

SEO has to carry the business

Organic search is all you have left, and it can’t be switched on overnight to replace what your ads were bringing in.

The Google Ads Overview screen with a red warning bar reading: Your account is suspended - Your account violated the Unacceptable Business Practices policy. The account holds 31 campaigns and every July 2024 metric tile reads zero.
What the notice looks like: the red bar across the top of a suspended Google Ads account. No customer ID or client details are shown.

What the notice means

The banner names the policy, not the problem. Google’s email will identify all policies (opens in a new tab) involved, but not the page, ad or document behind the decision. Google describes the policy as scamming people by hiding or misrepresenting info about your business (opens in a new tab), and lists four practices:

Some notices name a version: Phishing or Public figure impersonation.

Why rushed appeals make it worse

A quick “we did nothing wrong” gives the reviewer nothing to check, and the problem is still there. Google warns that if you file too many appeals for the same account suspension (opens in a new tab), they may not be processed, and that when appeals are misused “we will suspend processing of certain appeals for 7 days (opens in a new tab)”.

Some advertisers must complete advertiser verification successfully (opens in a new tab) before they can appeal at all, and if Google can’t verify their identity after 3 attempts (opens in a new tab), they can’t appeal. So the fixes and the documents come first, then one strong appeal.

How it works

Our 5-step Unacceptable Business Practices appeal process

We do the work. You don’t have to write the appeal, hand over a password or guess what Google wants to see.

About 5 daysusually, from our first call to your appeal being submitted
About 3 daysif your documents and changes are already in place
  1. Free consultation

45 minutes on Google Meet with Gianluca. We diagnose the suspension, walk through your business model and tell you honestly whether the account can realistically be reinstated. If we can help, you get a secure payment link after the call.

  2. Adjustments

We adjust your landing pages, and form and organise your documentation within Google’s policies, so everything behind the appeal is properly documented.

  3. Your written plan

You get written recommendations for the adjustments and alignment, so you know exactly what has changed and why.

  4. The appeal

We write your appeal and submit it ourselves, connecting to your account through our agency account. You approve the link request. No passwords needed.

  5. 14 days of post-reinstatement support Included

After reinstatement we stay linked for 14 days and deal with any new disapprovals or policy flags straight away. It’s included in the price.

Once the appeal is in, the review is Google’s and its timing is Google’s. Some accounts need verification before an appeal can be sent: see the questions below.

Why Ad Restore for your UBP appeal

We work directly with business owners

You speak to Gianluca Catinella, the director, from the first call. The person explaining your case is the person who has looked at your business.

We find the trigger first

The notice names the policy, not the cause. We go through your landing pages, keywords, what you advertise and how the business actually operates before anything is sent to Google.

Honest about cases we can’t win

If your account is genuinely in violation, or has a fatal flaw that makes it unredeemable, we tell you on the free call and don’t take your money.

No passwords, ever

We connect through our agency (manager) account. Google asks you to confirm the link, you keep ownership, and you can remove our access at any time. How it works.

What clients say on Google

5.0 out of 5 from 4 Google reviews

This guy is the real deal. Google bots suspended my ads account with no warning through some silly automated system. All my company advertising was on stopped and I panicked. After 3 days of freaking out and many unsuccessful appeals with Google, I contacted Ad Restore and they managed to sort it in only 3 days. The communication was very professional. All above board. We had an initial videocall. I could see that Gianluca was a real person and based in the UK. He is an industry expert in exactly what his company promises. The price for getting this fixed so quickly was worth it to my business. Nothing good or useful is cheap. You get what you pay for, and he delivered admirably.

Off the back of this relationship I will be using them for other advertising based services.

FAQ

Unacceptable Business Practices suspension questions

Can a Google Ads account suspended for Unacceptable Business Practices be reinstated?

Sometimes. Google says accounts are only reinstated in compelling circumstances (opens in a new tab), such as in the case of a mistake (opens in a new tab), so the appeal has to show clearly what went wrong, what has changed and why the business can be trusted. We’ll tell you on the free call whether yours has a realistic chance. Google gives advertisers at least 6 months from the date of account suspension (opens in a new tab) to appeal, so there’s time to do it properly.

Which cases do you turn down?

Accounts that are genuinely in violation, and accounts with a fatal flaw that makes them unredeemable. For example: presenting another company’s business as your own, advertising another company’s products with no agreement to show for it, no longer controlling a domain that’s still in the account, or documents that can’t come from the person who owns the account. We also don’t work in gambling, or pornography and sexual content.

If your case has a fatal flaw, we tell you on the free call instead of taking your money. More in when a Google Ads suspension can’t be fixed.

Do I have to give you my Google Ads password?

No. We never ask for sign-in details. We send a link request from our agency (manager) account using your Google Ads customer ID. Google asks you to confirm it, the link only exists once you accept, and you can remove it at any time. Read how we help without your password.

How long does it take?

Usually about 5 days from our first call to your appeal being submitted, or about 3 days if your documents and changes are already in place. Then it’s Google’s review, which nobody can speed up. If Google asks for verification first, it says it can take up to 5 business days to review your task (opens in a new tab), and in rare cases, review time can take up to 30 days (opens in a new tab).

Why doesn’t the notice say what I did wrong?

Google names the policy, not the cause. It says the email notification will identify all policies (opens in a new tab) involved, but it doesn’t point to the page, ad or document behind the decision. That’s why we find the trigger before anything is written. Our guide to “Your account violated the Unacceptable Business Practices policy” explains the notice, including its Phishing and Public figure impersonation versions.

Do I have to complete verification before I can appeal?

Sometimes. Google says certain selected advertisers must complete advertiser verification successfully (opens in a new tab) before they can appeal, and our clients are often asked for business operations verification first. Passing it doesn’t lift the suspension on its own: your account will remain suspended until your appeal is granted (opens in a new tab). Verification help is available as an optional add-on. Read our business operations verification guide, and what to do when Google says it couldn’t verify your business operations.

How do I pay, and what if the account isn’t reinstated?

You pay £500, a fixed price, up front. You can buy online and pay by card at checkout, or book the free consultation first and pay by a secure payment link afterwards. Prices are in GBP, with no VAT added.

  • If your account isn’t reinstated after up to 3 appeals, you get a 50% refund.
  • If we review your case and can’t take it on, you get a full refund.

14 days of post-reinstatement support is included in the price. Optional add-ons, such as an extra appeal, are priced separately. The conditions are in our refund policy. Nobody can promise reinstatement, because that decision is Google’s.

Are you part of Google?

No. Ad Restore Ltd is an independent UK company, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We have no special channel into Google’s review process: we use the same appeal and verification routes open to every advertiser, and the decision is always Google’s.
