For business owners asked to verify their business operations

“Your account will be paused: We couldn’t verify your business operations”

Google couldn’t verify your business operations? Let’s get your answers and documents right.

Google says your account may be paused if the business model is unclear (opens in a new tab). Verification is how you make it clear: what you sell, who delivers it and who else is involved.

We go through how your business really operates, help you answer Google’s questions and gather the documents that back them up. No passwords needed.

The problem

What an unverified business is costing you

The notice gives you a deadline, and Google is clear that the deadline can’t be extended (opens in a new tab). After that, the account is paused and your ads stop.

Ads stop at the deadline

If verification isn’t complete by the deadline, the account is paused and your ads stop running.

Competitors take your space

Your competitors keep bidding on the searches you used to win, and the leads and sales that were yours go to them.

Failed attempts count

Google says that through excessive failed attempts, your account will be paused (opens in a new tab). Each weak submission uses up room you may need later.

Related accounts can be caught

Google says accounts related to the paused account (opens in a new tab) may be paused too, for example accounts using the same payment method.

What the notice means

The wording at the top of this page is the notice advertisers report. It means Google can’t yet confirm how your business works from your account, your website and your answers. The task is called “Answer a few questions about your business operations (opens in a new tab)”. When it fails, Google’s help page sorts the reasons under headings such as “Not enough info about business relationships associated with your account (opens in a new tab)” and “Not enough info about the provider of goods or services (opens in a new tab)”.

A pause isn’t a suspension, and being asked to verify isn’t an accusation. But the next submission matters.

What counts as evidence

Google asks for details on all relationships involved in the value chain (opens in a new tab): agencies with access to the account, suppliers, fulfilment partners and the domain owner if different. Evidence can be an agreement or contract, a letter on the other business’s company letterhead (opens in a new tab), or an invoice or email from them.

Names matter too. Google wants the full legal name including any suffixes or punctuation (opens in a new tab).

Why guessing makes it worse

Never edit a document to make it match, and answer every question truthfully. Google says submitting false info will be a violation of the Circumventing systems policy (opens in a new tab).

And if the account is suspended as well, passing verification doesn’t end it: Google says your account will remain suspended until your appeal is granted (opens in a new tab). That’s why the answers, the website and the documents have to tell one true story.

How it works

How we help with business operations verification

We do the groundwork with you. You don’t have to guess what Google wants to see or spend an attempt finding out.

Up to 5 business daysfor Google to review your task, it says
Up to 30 daysin rare cases, according to Google
  1. Free consultation

45 minutes on Google Meet with Gianluca. We read the notice, check your deadline and go through what was submitted before.

  2. How your business really operates

We map who sells, who delivers to the customer, and every other business involved in your ads or your website.

  3. Website and documents

We list the fixes so your answers can be checked: consistent names and addresses, third parties explained, and the right documents gathered.

  4. Your answers

We prepare your business operations answers with you. The account admin submits them, because Google says only an admin can complete the tasks.

  5. Up to 2 submissions

Google limits failed verification attempts, so we include up to 2 submissions and check everything before each one. If Google asks for more or rejects the first, we prepare the second with you.

The review and its timing are Google’s. If your account has already been suspended, see the questions below.

Why Ad Restore

Why Ad Restore for business operations verification

We work directly with business owners

You speak to Gianluca Catinella, the director, from the first call. The person explaining your case is the person who has looked at your business.

We find what Google couldn’t verify

The notice doesn’t say which detail failed. We compare your answers, your website, your account and your documents until the gap is clear.

Honest about cases we can’t take

If the business can’t document the relationships behind what it advertises, or wants its model described as something it isn’t, we tell you on the free call.

We never bend the facts

We don’t edit documents or answers to make them fit. Google treats false information in verification as a Circumventing Systems breach.

No passwords, ever

We connect through our agency (manager) account. Google asks you to confirm the link, you keep ownership, and you can remove our access at any time. How it works.

Independent of Google

Ad Restore Ltd is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We use the same appeal and verification routes open to every advertiser, and the decision is always Google’s.

Independent service. Ad Restore Ltd is an independent UK company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Google, and we have no special channel into its review process. Google and Google Ads are trademarks of Google LLC.

Dyfed Telecommunication Ltd, a UK telecoms company: suspended for Unacceptable Business Practices after business operations verification failed

Issue

Dyfed’s Google Ads account was suspended after Google’s business operations verification failed.

What we did

  1. Verification first. We completed Google’s long business operations form and gathered the documents to support it.
  2. Then the suspension. We adjusted the website, explained the business model clearly, organised the documentation and submitted the appeal.

Outcome

The appeal was accepted in about 5 days. That’s one case, not a promise: every account is different.

Reinstatement emails, client details masked

The email confirming business operations verification comes first. Customer IDs are cut to the last four digits. Select any email to see it in full.

FAQ

Business operations verification questions

Is this a suspension?

Not on its own. The notice says the account will be paused if verification isn’t completed. A paused account can’t run ads, but Google says you can still access your paused account and any associated reports (opens in a new tab). A suspension is different: the way out is an appeal. Our guide to “We couldn’t verify your business operations” explains the difference.

Can the deadline be extended?
What documents count as evidence?

Registration documents for the business, licences if your trade needs them, and proof of each relationship Google asks about: an agreement or contract, a letter on the other company’s letterhead (opens in a new tab), or an invoice or email from them. Read our business operations verification guide.

My account is suspended. Does passing verification reinstate it?
Do I have to give you my Google Ads password?

No. We never ask for sign-in details. We connect through a manager-account link you approve and can remove at any time, and the account admin submits the answers, as Google requires. Read how we help without your password.

How long does it take?
How much does it cost, and what if I’m not verified?

£400, a fixed price paid up front. You can buy online and pay by card at checkout, or book the free consultation first and pay by a secure payment link afterwards. Prices are in GBP, with no VAT added.

  • If your account isn’t verified after up to 2 submissions, you get a 50% refund.
  • If we review your case and can’t take it on, you get a full refund.

14 days of support once your account is running again is included in the price. The conditions are in our refund policy. Nobody can promise reinstatement, because that decision is Google’s.

Are you part of Google?

No. Ad Restore Ltd is an independent UK company, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We have no special channel into Google’s review process: we use the same appeal and verification routes open to every advertiser, and the decision is always Google’s.
