Google Business Profile suspended? Fix what Google flagged before you ask for it back.

Google says: “If you believe your profile should be reinstated, you can submit an appeal (opens in a new tab).” Before you do, it says to make sure the profile follows all the guidelines. We find what Google flagged, check that your evidence matches the profile, and prepare the reinstatement request with you. No passwords: you add us as a manager of the profile.

The problem

What a suspended Business Profile is costing you

Google says that when a profile breaks its guidelines, it “becomes disabled or suspended and won’t show to other users on Google (opens in a new tab)” until you resolve the issue.

Local customers can’t find you

The calls, direction requests and website visits that came from your profile on Search and Maps stop with it.

Competitors take the local searches

People searching for what you do nearby see the businesses that are still on the map, and the enquiries go to them.

You can’t manage the profile

The notice suspends your access, and Google says that when it removes a profile, “the owner and managers can’t act on the profile (opens in a new tab)”: no edits, posts or review replies until it’s reinstated.

A new profile makes it worse

Google says: “Do not create a new Business Profile for the same business while your appeal is under review (opens in a new tab).” Its guidelines say there should only be one profile per business.

What the notice means

Google says it may suspend or disable Business Profiles that don’t follow its guidelines. The notice rarely names the guideline, but the Business Profile appeals tool (opens in a new tab) does: Google says it shows the restricted profile, “the reason for the moderation action” and a link to the violated policy.

Google’s own pages name some of the causes:

A restricted Google Account comes first

If the Google Account you manage the profile with is restricted, Google says “the Business Profiles you manage are suspended and you won’t be able to create or claim other profiles (opens in a new tab)”. The account is appealed first, on your My accounts page; the profile once the restriction is lifted.

What a reinstatement request needs

Google’s route back is an appeal in its Business Profile appeals tool (opens in a new tab). Evidence is optional, but Google highly recommends it, and lists official business registration, a business licence, tax certificates and utility bills for the business. Its tip: “check that the business name and address match the profile that you want to make an appeal for (opens in a new tab).”

Timing matters too: “Once you open the evidence form, you must submit it within 60 minutes or it won’t be attached to your appeal (opens in a new tab).” If the request is denied, Google says “we may be able to do an additional review (opens in a new tab)”, and that you can add evidence that wasn’t in your first appeal. That is the second of the two requests our service includes.

How it works

How we help with a Business Profile suspension

We do the checking with you, so the request Google reads answers what it flagged, with evidence that matches the profile.

  • Up to five working days for appeal reviews and decisions, Google says
  • 60 minutes to submit evidence once the form is open
  1. In-depth written audit

An in-depth audit of your case, sent to you in writing, by email or however you prefer. We look at the notice, your profile and anything already sent to Google.

  2. Find what Google flagged

We check the profile against Google’s guidelines: the business name, the address, the category, the website, the reviews, and whether the business is eligible for a profile at all.

  3. Fixes and evidence

You get a written list of the fixes to your profile, website and documents, and we check that the business name and address on your evidence match the profile.

  4. Your reinstatement request

We prepare it with you in Google’s appeals tool, with the evidence ready before the 60 minutes start. If a step can only be done by the profile’s owner, you do it with our guidance.

  5. Up to 2 reinstatement requests

If Google denies the first, it says it may be able to do an additional review, with evidence that wasn’t in the first appeal. We prepare that second request with you.

The review and its timing are Google’s. If your Google Account itself is restricted, it has to be reinstated first: see the questions below.

Why Ad Restore

Why Ad Restore for your Business Profile

We’ve been through it ourselves

Google suspended Ad Restore Ltd’s own Business Profile in October 2024. We appealed with a genuine utility bill in the company’s name and its company documents, and Google approved the appeal. Our own case.

We work directly with business owners

You speak to a specialist from the first call. The person explaining your case is the person who has looked at your business.

We check before you submit

The business name and address on your evidence are compared with the profile before anything goes to Google, so a request isn’t spent on a mismatch.

Honest about cases we can’t take

If the business isn’t eligible for a Business Profile, or the evidence Google needs doesn’t exist, we tell you on the free call.

We never bend the facts

We don’t send borrowed or edited documents, and we never create a second profile for the same business.

No passwords, ever

You add us as a manager of your Business Profile in its own settings. You stay the owner, and you can remove us at any time.

“This guy is the real deal. Google bots suspended my ads account with no warning through some silly automated system. […] We had an initial videocall. I could see that Gianluca was a real person and based in the UK. He is an industry expert in exactly what his company promises.”

FAQ

Business Profile suspension questions

Can a suspended Google Business Profile be reinstated?

Google says that if you believe your profile should be reinstated, you can submit an appeal, and that it will review it and send you an email with a decision. Only Google decides. What we do is find what Google flagged, get it fixed and prepare a request that answers it, with evidence that matches the profile.

What evidence does Google accept?

Google lists official business registration, a business licence, tax certificates and utility bills for the business, such as electricity, phone, water or internet, and asks you to check that the business name and address match the profile (opens in a new tab). It calls evidence optional but highly recommends it. Once the evidence form is open, you have 60 minutes to submit it, so the documents need to be ready first.

How long does it take?

Google says appeal reviews and decisions can take up to five working days (opens in a new tab), and not to submit multiple appeals for the same issue before receiving a decision. We check your case and start work within 24 hours of payment (up to 48 hours at weekends).

My Google Account is restricted. Can you still help?

Yes, but the order matters. Google says an account restriction suspends the Business Profiles you manage, and that the account is appealed first, on your My accounts page. Once the restriction is lifted, the profile is appealed in the appeals tool. Tell us which notice you have on the first call.

Should I create a new Business Profile?

No. Google says: “Do not create a new Business Profile for the same business while your appeal is under review (opens in a new tab).” A second profile for the same business also goes against its guidelines, which say there should only be one profile per business.

Do I have to give you my password?

No. You add us as a manager of your Business Profile, under Business Profile settings and People and access. Google says that to access and manage Business Profiles without the need to share your password, each user needs their own Google Account (opens in a new tab), and that managers can’t add or remove users or remove the profile. You stay the owner and can remove us at any time.

How much does it cost, and what if my profile isn’t reinstated?

£300, a fixed price paid up front. You can buy online and pay by card, or book the free consultation first. Prices are in GBP, with no VAT added.

  • If your Business Profile isn’t reinstated after up to 2 reinstatement requests, you get a 50% refund.
  • If we review your case and can’t take it on, you get a full refund.

14 days of post-reinstatement support is included in the price. The conditions are in our refund policy. Nobody can promise reinstatement, because that decision is Google’s.

Are you part of Google?

No. Ad Restore Ltd is an independent UK company, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We have no special channel into Google’s review process: we use the same appeals tool open to every business owner, and the decision is always Google’s.
